Britt Nicole at CCM ARTISTS - Christian Artists & Bands

BRITT NICOLE

Britt Nicole grew up in the church, her grandfather’s church, actually, along with his TV ministry, which aired weekly on Charlotte, North Carolina station WAXN. It was there that Nicole made her first public appearances, singing gospel songs in a trio with her brother and cousin. A scholarship offer from Belmont University to study commercial music was turned down so Nicole could focus on perusing a recording contract. She released a pair of independent records in the two years following high school and then — at age 19 — moved to Nashville to further pursue her singing/songwriting career. Soon after arriving in Nashville and showcasing her early collection of pop songs, Britt landed a record deal and ended up releasing her debut album Say It (2007) for EMI by the time she was 21.
