Manafest, born Chris Greenwood, kicked-off his career with a rap-rock sound. He later changed gears and returned with a more traditional hip-hop style. He was born and raised in Pickering, Ontario, Canada.
He debuted with his EP, Misled Youth, in 2001. The release garnered ”Modern Rock/Alternative Song of the Year” for the song ”Freedom” at the GMA Canada Covenant Awards in 2002. He released his first full-length album, My Own Thing, the following year. Trevor McNevan of the Ontario-based rock band Thousand Foot Krutch was featured on the album. This led to his signing with BEC Recordings, where his Epiphany was released in 2005.
Manafest became fully independent as of early 2015 and continues to write and record music.
