While traveling in Romania, drummer Josh Kirk visited a museum dedicated to the Romanian Revolution of 1989. There he heard the story of how a small group of Christians sparked a revolution that led to the downfall of communism in their country. The band was inspired by this story and subsequently took the name “The Museum.”
After beginning in 2008, they garnered some national and international attention with their debut album “Let Love Win” which released in July of 2010.
The Museum strives to impact this generation by leading people to encounter Jesus Christ in worship through music. This vision was born out of the local church and guided by the call in Micah 6:8 to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with our God. As Christ followers and musicians they want to craft songs and lead worship experiences that inspire people to live a life of worship.
